I have been teaching lessons for several decades now. I started at age 12, Teaching Tiny Tot's at Birdland Pool in Des Moines. I had my junior lifesaving certificate at age 11. Yes 11.... I'm a WSI instructor which stands for Water Safety Instructor. That means I teach the teachers. I have a true passion for swimming and it has always been a big part of my life. I was a lifeguard and private swimming instructor in high school and college. My sister and I had our own business in high school teaching private swimming lessons. I swam competitively for many years quite successfully. I'm semi-retired now and would love to start helping the next generation of swimmers learn to swim! I make swimming fun!
